My Story
I walked away from the traditional advising world on purpose
For years I sat across from clients who had worked their whole lives and still had no real plan to show for it. Faithful, hardworking people reaching their 50s with empty accounts and a lifetime of "I'll figure it out later."
The problem was never their work ethic. It was that no one had ever taught them to steward their money through a biblical lens.
When my husband and I got married, we decided to do it differently. We tithed for the first time. We paid off debt early. That freedom gave us the confidence to leave the military knowing our future was secure.
When we became parents, we started saving for our son while he was still in diapers. We built a roadmap that let us say yes to what matters most. Freedom, peace, and Kingdom impact.
So I built Greater Financial to hand that same clarity to other moms.
Why "Greater"
The name is the whole belief system
When it came time to name this firm, I didn't want something that just sounded nice. I wanted a name that told the truth about what this is actually for.
"He must become greater, and I must become less." John 3:30
That verse is the heartbeat behind everything here. This is about pointing you toward a God who can do greater than what the math says is possible. Even when the numbers don't add up. Even when the spreadsheet says not enough.
Proverbs 21:5 reminds us that diligent planning leads to abundance, and I take that seriously. We will build a plan. We will be intentional with every dollar. But diligence was never meant to replace dependence. Even the best plan sits under a God who is ultimately in control.
And John 15:13, "greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends," is the sobering reminder of the best gift we have ever been given and how much God loves us. It is the reason why giving is woven into everything we do here, so we can live with open hands and generous hearts.
